I took in a screening of Safety Not Guaranteed yesterday and I would give it was really good. Aubrey Plaza played the same character that that she plays in every film or TV show she appears in, but it worked nicely. I would consider Mark Duplass the highlight of the film playing a very neuortic wanna be(?) time traveler who just wants a partner to help him on his next mission. I can’t recall seeing Jake M. Johnson in a featured role before, but he gets the job done for a high on himself magainze reporter who has the interns do 95% of work. The rest of the cast was a alittle more high profiled (Jeff Garlin and Kristin Bell) than needed for their roles as I felt it didn’t add anything to the film, but at the same time didn’t take away. The only thing slightly negative I can say about the hour and 20something minutes I saw of this film was the ending went one step too far.
